Technical Writer

Position Type: Contract | Job Duration :3 Months + | Job Location :Bay Area, California

One of our client is developing a library of UI components (pie/bar charts, drop downs, other UI elements) written in flex that will be used by our partner development organizations. The developers at these partner organizations will use these UI components to put together an application in a very short time frame.

Responsibility

Write developer documentation for front-end/UI component library whose primary audience will be flex application developers. This position is not focused on user guides/docs.

Requirements
* Developer doc experience in last job (and not in distant past) required.
* Good graphical experience to document UI components and their usage.
* Flex experience and/or prior development experience.
* Ability to write brain-dead documentation. We are a very lean organization and cannot afford any support load generated by our partners related to this component library, so documentation should be very straightforward for partner development orgs to understand.
* This position requires direct interaction with a very senior developer to create the documentation so ability to work/understand with minimal face time is critically important.
