Alloparent is a bay area community of parents just like you where resources like babysitting, carpooling and meal sharing can be found free of charge.





Alloparent provides parents and families with local, hands-on services provided by other parents. Services and support on Alloparent are free, because they are swapped or shared, as is done in villages or families.





While there are thousands of websites that offer parents information, online forums and chat rooms, there are few that actually connect parents to real helping hands – that don’t come in the form of an expensive service, or a charitable service.





Alloparent community members are parents who may not have the income to pay for a nanny, or gardener, housekeeper, personal chef or trainer, but are also not eligible for most non-profit resources. Many parents feel isolated and overwhelmed in our fast-paced culture, have no extended family nearby, and don’t know how to reach out. These are modern challenges that require new solutions.





Alloparent offers a place and culture in which parents can freely call upon other parents for help. They can collaborate, share various forms of expertise, and lend real helping hands. Our fellow parents, neighbors and community members are a largely untapped resource in this regard. Humans have always parented together in groups, and Alloparent helps make that option possible for parents again.
