You may be wondering how this terrific sportcoat can be both vintage and brand new. It was given to me one Christmas about 35 years ago by one of my dearest friends from Medical School. He was a poor struggling student at the time, which made me treasure this expensive and thoughtful gift all the more; he's gone on to become a brilliant and gifted physician, and I'm sure could now afford to buy me a new sports car to go with this sports coat (are you listening Fred?). Unfortunately, he was not very good at judging sizes: I was 6'4" and wore a 2XL at the time, so, since I could not fit into this jacket, it has been hanging in my closet ever since. While the photo has a slight bluish tinge, the coat itself is jet black and I believe it is made from a suedecloth-like material, but I'm just not sure, and there are no labels (other than one that says to dry clean only). As you can see in the photo, it closes with 3 large snaps (plus one at the collar), it has twin zippered breast pockets, twin (generous) snap-flap side pockets, and some decorative stitching (reminiscent of the "Brad Whitney style"). $25.00 or best offer 707-833-5017 mailto:drdonsmith@earthlink.net
