”Halloween Card Workshop”
with Briana Learnihan
Sunday – October 25, 2009 – 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm
Unleash your creativity! Be inspired. Be challenged.
Explore. Develop your artistic voice. Have FUN …!
Mix it up for Halloween, have a great time, and save yourself a bundle of money! This workshop will show you how to use three different colors of card stock, with embellishments of your choice, and turn them into six “Boo-tiful” Halloween cards that will WOW your friends and ASTOUND your family. Please don’t forget to bring your address book and stamps to class, you are going to be so thrilled with your cards that you will want to stop at the nearest post office and mail them on the way home!
The techniques that you learn in this workshop can be used on other fun projects, as well: Tags, ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards), matchboxes, inchies, collage, etc. We will work on extra projects if time permits. All Halloween card supplies are included in the cost of this class. Feel free to bring along any flat and easy to attach Halloween themed items that you would like to use on your projects or share with other students.
This workshop will be incorporating some marvelous vintage Halloween clip art and faux postage from the wonderful ARTchix Studio, available only through the mail. ARTchix Studio is an angel company and lets us use their products without worry of copyright infringement issues.
Also, bring along your favorite artist tools, scissors, bone folder, ruler, etc., but if you don’t have tools, don’t let that stop you from signing up for the workshop, there will be plenty for you to use, of course.
