Title – Software Development Manager/Lead Architect Location: Telecommute Position Type: Part-time ABOUT US We are an online advertising startup focused on building next generation online and mobile advertising solutions. Our team comprises of members from Univ of Chicago, Stanford, Univ of Michigan & Indian Institute of Technology. RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for talented, creative, energetic and dedicated Sr. Architect to lead the development of next-generation, global Internet and mobile advertising platform. This is a part-time position with substantial equity stake. • Passionate about building great applications, and excited by the impact of technology on business and people • Architect, design, communicate, and deliver end-to-end advertising solutions • Participate in product roadmap and product strategy definition. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred. • 10+ years development experience • Prior experience in online advertising required • Entrepreneurial attitude; Strong interest and desire for working in a startup environment. Technical Skills • Direct experience in a high-volume; large scale web-based applications or transaction services. • PHP, Javascript, Firefox, IE & Safari browser technologies • Mobile platforms (Google Androids, etc.) • Web services/ API integration with ad networks • Programming or scripting languages (Java, C++, Perl, etc.) • Databases (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2) and SQL • Excellent system analysis and design skills • Nice to have - familiarity with location based services, GPS, mobile applications, or ad delivery technologies. Project Mgmt Skills • Excellent time management, project management, and flexibility skills to work in a geographically dispersed team, including outsourced development • Ability to deliver under pressure and with short timelines; strong organizational and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated effectiveness by successfully leading several large scale complex projects Leadership & Interpersonal Competencies: • Able to communicate ideas across multiple departments • Able to conduct software design reviews with large team • Able to assess competencies of technical team and make appropriate work assignments • Organized and able to multi-task (manage multiple deliverables) • Able to mentor the more junior engineers, and build them into senior engineers • Demonstrates accountability for total quality of assigned projects • Construct challenging development plans with stretch tasks an goals . EXPECTATIONS • Initial compensation will be equity only till stage 1 cash in-flow. • Minimum time commitment of 20 hours per week. Please reply with your resume.
